Symphony Pops Up for First Friday!

Wheeling Symphony Orchestra  announces the next concert of the WSO on the GO season at First Fridays, featuring a Wheeling Symphony’s string quartet. The performance will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, March 2, at Artworks Around Town in Wheeling’s Center Market.  This concert is free and open to the public.

The WSO on the GO performance will feature musicians Mary Beth Schotting (violin), Rachelle Agnew (violin), Katarina Istomin (viola), and Elisa Kohanski (cello).

“We couldn’t be more excited to perform at March’s First Fridays,” said Bryan Braunlich, marketing director of the WSO. “Our WSO on the GO series has really become a way to connect with the community in a more intimate and informal setting and to expose people to a range of musical styles performed by our talented musicians. We are thrilled that the team at Artworks Around Town are hosting us, and we hope that people come and have a good time and enjoy the music.”

In 2016, WSO on the GO was established to increase the visibility of and gain new audiences for Wheeling Symphony concerts with ensemble performances in interesting locations throughout our region. Through this program, the Wheeling Symphony has been able to showcase the versatility of the talented musicians in the orchestra to our friends and neighbors throughout the Ohio Valley. Because of the generous support of our sponsors and donors, this year, all concerts will be free to the public to entice and encourage new audiences to become long-time supporters.
