WVNCC Campuses to Host Open House Events

West Virginia Northern Community College will host an open house from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 24, on all three campuses.

Prospective students and their families will have the opportunity to learn about the programs WVNCC offers, as well as get information about the admissions process, financial aid and more. Anyone who attends the Open House and then attends class in the fall semester will be eligible to win a $1,000 scholarship to WVNCC or an iPad.

On the Wheeling campus, during the open house, people can take a self-guided tour of all the buildings. Guided tours will be available on the Weirton and New Martinsville campuses.

The event will include information on Northern’s 70 education programs, student life and resources available to potential students. Many faculty members will be on-hand and offer interactive activities in their classrooms.

Attendees can gather information about starting at Northern and then transferring to a four-year college to continue their education. WVNCC has numerous articulation agreements with colleges to make transferring to a four-year college after Northern seamless.

The event will also include free food and a chance to win prizes.

Those interested in attending the fall semester can fill out an application during the open house, however, registration does not begin until April 10.
