Sometime in themid 70’s I visited my mother here. She was institutionalized for mental health issues. I was quite young but remember being scared. There was also a couple big dogs there covered in ticks; no better cared for than the patients. Sad, very sad.

I have been there. My mom said they buried people in unmarked graves there for having no family or being poor. Very sad

Considering that I grew up in Wheeling and have returned many times since my family moved, I had never heard of this place.
