Explore Oglebay Park on two wheels during group mountain biking rides every Tuesday at 6 p.m. and every Sunday at 11 a.m. through Labor Day weekend.
Group rides begin at the Par 3 parking lot and last approximately two hours. Riders will warm up with a few laps on the beginner trail. Groups will then embark on the 2.5-mile intermediate mountain bike trail. Groups will make multiple laps of the course, and the number of loops will be decided by the group.
Riders can choose to bring their own bikes or rent them from Oglebay’s Par 3 rental center. Bike rentals are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and each rental includes a helmet that must be worn for the duration of the ride. In addition to a helmet, all trail riders must wear closed-toe shoes. Guests must sign a waiver.
Bike rentals are priced $15 per hour or $45 for four hours.
As a new feature this summer, bike rentals are also available at the Aerial Challenge course near Schenk Lake for those who wish to explore the hard surface trails throughout Oglebay Park.
