West Virginia Northern Community College (WVNCC) and West Liberty University (WLU) signed a guaranteed admission agreement today, making degree completion easier for transfer students who start at WVNCC and transfer to WLU.
Students who have completed an Associate in Applied Science Degree or an Associate in Arts Degree at WVNCC will now be guaranteed admission to WLU. The agreement provides a clear plan of transfer for academically successful students and will principally guarantee admission for a student with junior standing.
“This agreement is a great example of the ongoing commitment of Northern and West Liberty to work together to benefit our students and provides them with a substantial opportunity for degree completion,” commented WVNCC Interim President Mike Koon.
“We welcome this agreement that guarantees Northern students admission to West Liberty University once they’ve completed their associate degree. West Virginia needs more college graduates, and West Liberty University is pleased to be able to collaborate so that more students can earn a bachelor’s degree,” said Dr. Stephen Greiner, WLU president.
