Crittenton’s 12th Annual Paint the Town Pink event, Pink in Wonderland, is scheduled for Saturday, March 28, at the Wheeling Artisan Center.
In keeping with the Alice in Wonderland theme, guests are encouraged to participate in the Mad Hatter contest. Prizes will be awarded to guests with the most creative hat. As always, the annual event, Crittenton’s largest, is “pink tie optional.”
The Artisan Center will come alive with a Wonderland fantasy environment that includes larger-than-life flowers, mushrooms, playing cards, timepieces, and more. Young women in Crittenton’s residential treatment program enjoy creating many of the pieces that will set the scene.
“The Wonderland theme lends itself to over-the-top, imaginative decoration. Every year, guests marvel at the pieces the girls have created and enjoy knowing that by buying an event ticket, they are supporting Crittenton’s work to bring high quality mental health services to the West Virginia community,” says David Miller, decorating chair.
Chef Rocco Basil provides a delicious gourmet menu for the event. Guests select their entrees from a number of stations located throughout the venue, with a wide variety of options, including meats, pasta, vegetables, and more. A flavorful salad and special dessert are served at the tables.
Cleveland-based band “Redline” will provide the musical entertainment. The band has an extensive repertoire, playing dance and dinner music that spans generations and genres.
Tickets are available for $100 each and may be purchased by calling Crittenton at 304.242.7060. Pink in Wonderland begins at 7 p.m. From 6-7, guests can also attend The Mad Hatter’s Tea, a pre-party cocktail and hors d’oeuvre hour, designed as a twist on the tradition tea party. Tickets for the Mad Hatter’s Tea are available for Pink in Wonderland attendees for an additional $25.00. Valet parking is available at the event.
