Oglebay is gearing up to entertain approximately 3,000 guests at its third annual Fall Food Truck Festival – and you’re invited! Saturday, September 16 has been in the planning stages for the last year, and it’s sure to be an event that you won’t want to miss. Andy Brow, Special Event and Programming at Oglebay shares, “We start planning the week after the event ends each year. We look at and celebrate the wins from the event, and take an even closer look at the opportunities for the following year.”
Andy and his team pay close attention to detail by ensuring they select regional food vendors and a variety of entertainment that will appeal to the Wheeling masses. In addition to the food and entertainment, the event also offers a variety of experiences available to attendees. The festival is family friendly. A wide, eclectic variety of food selections allows each attendant, no matter their age or food preferences, to find an ideal meal. Families can also enjoy inflatables at a zone designated just for kids from 1 – 7 p.m. and face painting from 4 – 7 p.m.
Live music also draws in a large crowd as it features a variety of local and lauded performers. Music begins at 11:00 a.m. and continues throughout the day with performances by Jason Treuman, New Age Adenas, The Delaneys, and Pocket Change. The final performance featuring Garth Guy will wow the crowd with the greatest hits of Garth Brooks. Garth Guy is an acclaimed Las Vegas headliner and is credited with being one of the best cover bands in the world.
For adults 21 and older, a beer garden with seasonal favorites will be available. And if you’re concerned about missing out on college football – fear not! An inflatable screen will be displayed in Levenson Shelter to ensure that Wheelingites can still experience the WVU/Pitt Backyard Brawl. Brown states, “Those WVU football fans do not need to work. As the sun goes down we will have the game blown up on our inflatable screen for everyone to cheer on the Mountaineers.”
Whether partaking in the beautiful scenery or visiting to enjoy the awesome selection of family entertainment, beverages, music, and food, the Third Annual Fall Food Truck Festival will not disappoint. For a complete list of times, activities, and vendors, visit oglebay.com.
