After a busy Memorial Day weekend, the city is taking a bit of a breather. No huge events this weekend, but lots of quality smaller ones.
If you’ve always wanted to see a minstrel show, your chance is here. The Seventh Annual Lansing Follies Minstrel Show starts at 7 pm Friday at the Lansing Community Center. It sounds really interesting, someone please report back on this.
Wheeling Brewing Company is doing Back to the ’80s Night on Friday. If you wear your Skidz from junior high or something along those lines, you get $1 off your beers all night. That’s my kind of deal.
Saturday afternoon, take the kids to Towngate for a production of I’m A Celebrity at 3:00 pm.
If you’re not up for a play, maybe try Walk With Me For A Cure at Dallas United Methodist Church. Proceeds benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation and the American Cancer Society.
Finally, cap your weekend off with the New Age Adenas at Black Sheep Vineyard. That will be a great show in a great setting.
