Carli Whorton was born and raised in Wheeling, WV. She has spent her entire life residing in West Virginia, with most of that being in Wheeling. She attended Alderson Broaddus University in Philippi, WV, and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in History from West Liberty University. She has always had a deep love for history, specifically local history. She had spent her life professionally and casually researching and studying Wheeling’s history. She was also a cheerleader while at West Liberty, and a cheerleader and a dance team member/captain at Alderson Broaddus University. She has a strong passion for writing, as well as, creating accessibility within local history!
