Welcome to Herstory, a podcast by Wheeling Heritage Media

To commemorate Women’s History Month, Wheeling Heritage Media is excited to announce the release of Herstory, its latest podcast series. Hosted by Makayla Carney, Herstory will look at Wheeling women, past and present, and the fields they thrive in.

What has changed? What still needs to change today? Every Monday in March a new episode will drop, highlighting a different theme each week; art, food, writing, and education.

Host Makayla Carney is the 2023/2024 Americorps for Wheeling Heritage. She has a B.F.A. in Film and Television from DePaul University in Chicago. She is an avid podcast listener and lover of all things history. She’s a big fan of Carrie Fisher, and other remarkable women both past and present.

Original artwork for the podcast was designed by Savannah Schroll Guz, who took inspiration from each episode’s theme and guest speaker to create a visual story to complement the podcast.
