The Junior League of Wheeling presents Affair with Emerald Flair at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 9, at the Wheeling Artisan Center.
The proceeds from the event will support the Junior League’s programs, including “Girl on Fire,” a program for middle and high school-aged girls that aims to build confidence and self-esteem.
The organization’s annual St. Patrick’s Day-themed fundraiser draws hundreds of guests each year for a festive evening of delicious food from the area’s best restaurants, live entertainment and the chance to win thousands of dollars’ worth of prizes.
This year’s grand prize raffle winner will win a fully customizable getaway adventure valued at $4,000. The winner will be assisted by UniGlobe Ohio Valley Travel to choose their vacation dates and destination specific to their very own getaway.
The evening will feature live music from Jukebox and the New Age Adenas, complimentary beer and wine, as well as heavy hors d’oeuvres from a variety of local vendors, including Pickles Eatery and Bar, Kirke’s Homemade Ice Cream, Mamma C’s Bakery and Deli, The Vagabond Kitchen, River City Restaurant, Longhorn Steakhouse, Ideal Provisions, Generations Restaurant & Pub, Wheeling Brewing Company and Ye Olde Alpha.
Additionally, Affair with Emerald Flair will include various basket raffles, providing guests the chance to win prizes such as a Yeti cooler, flying lessons, in-home concert, concert and event tickets, spa packages, sports packages and more
Guests may participate in a BYOB raffle. Guests who bring a bottle of alcohol to the event will be awarded a raffle ticket for a chance to win the lot of alcohol. One raffle ticket will be awarded for each bottle or six-pack. Additional tickets can be purchased for $10.
This event is open to the general public, and tickets can be purchased at www.affairwithemeraldflair.com. Cost is $30 per ticket in advance and $35 at the door. Ticket includes a wide selection of hor d’oeuvres, beer, wine and live entertainment.
Proceeds from Affair with Emerald Flair ensure continued success in fulfilling the Junior League of Wheeling’s mission to support women and children in the greater Wheeling area.
In existence for 78 years and over 200 members strong, the Junior League of Wheeling is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women in our community, and improving the greater Wheeling area through initiating and supporting valuable community projects.
