RIVER VALLEY HEALTH FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES NOVEMBER 2, 2020 ANNUAL GRANT DEADLINE FOR HEALTH AND WELLNESS FUNDING

Wheeling, WV – The River Valley Health Foundation (“Foundation”) is pleased to announce its November 2, 2020 annual grant deadline.  The grant application and relevant guidelines can be located on the Foundation’s website, https://rivervalleyhf.org/application-faq/.  The typical award is between $1000 and $5000.  While it is rare that the Foundation will award more than $10,000, all requests will be considered.

Who Can Apply: Any 501(c)(3) non-profit that is not a private foundation located in Brooke, Ohio, Marshall, and Wetzel counties in West Virginia and Belmont, Jefferson, Monroe, Guernsey, and Harrison counties in Ohio are invited to apply.  All applicants should keep in mind the Foundation’s mission of improving the health and well-being of the residents of the Ohio Valley.

In recent years, the Foundation previously funded non-emergency medical transportation, dental and direct healthcare for uninsured and underinsured, the purchase and installation of a local playground’s shade structure, healthcare camps, healthcare-related scholarships, costs associated with rotation doctor housing, and COVID-related health needs to local health departments.
