Wheeling Symphony Orchestra (WSO) Board of Directors announces Shake, Raffle and Roll 2022 – a reverse raffle fundraiser to support the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra. The event will be held at The Highlands Event Center on Saturday, April 30 with doors opening at 6:00 p.m. and the raffle beginning at 7:00 p.m.
A $5,000 grand prize will be the highlight of Shake, Raffle and Roll 2022 – a reverse raffle fundraiser sponsored by the Wheeling Symphony Board of Directors. Join us for a unique evening of cash and other prizes, food, drink and camaraderie- all to support your Wheeling Symphony Orchestra. The event will be held at The Highlands Event Center on Saturday, April 30 with doors opening at 6:00 p.m. and the raffle beginning at 7:00 p.m. In addition to the $5,000 grand prize, there will also be additional cash and other prizes, a silent auction and heavy hors d’oeuvres and desserts and a cash bar. Highlights of the silent auction include a Vegas stay, a rum tasting event, a TopGolf outing, and a Gateway Clipper cruise.
“We developed Shake, Raffle and Roll last year as a way to reignite our fundraising efforts after several events were canceled due to the pandemic,” says Vicky Musicaro, event co-chair. “The raffle was a terrific success and everyone had a great time, so we are bringing it back and ‘upping the ante’ with the addition of a silent auction. Our committee has come up with some really exciting auction items.”
Tickets to the April 30 event are $100 which entitles the purchaser to a chance for the $5,000 grand prize. Additional guests may accompany the ticket buyer for $10 per person. Members of the Wheeling Symphony Auxiliary will provide heavy appetizers and desserts for the event and patrons will have access to a cash bar.
“There will be lots of prizes and surprises through the evening,” according to WSO Board Member Jean Bailey, who has helped plan the event. “We can’t guarantee that your ticket will be the $5,000 winner but we CAN guarantee that you will have a great time at Shake Raffle and Roll. We will again be embracing a 1950’s theme and guests are encouraged to dust off their poodle skirts and leather jackets!”

Tickets to Shake, Raffle and Roll are $100. Each $100 ticket includes a chance for the $5,000 grand prize as well as admission to the event. Additional guests may attend for $10 per person. Those who are unable to attend the event can monitor the progress of the raffle via a Zoom link. In addition to the raffle, prizes and appetizers, patrons will have access to a cash bar.
