The Wheeling Arts and Culture Commission is excited to announce its inaugural Greater Wheeling Artists Studio Tour. The project aims to serve the community with art and cultural programming while supporting area working artists by working with local artists to open their studios to the general public to get a glimpse at and learn how their art is made. The event will be a self-directed driving tour with a map showing the locations of all open studios. The tour is set to take place on April 29, 2017 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
In addition to the open studios, area local arts businesses will be included on the tour. Local businesses will serve as touchstones where the public can pick up a tour map and begin the self-guided tour to visit all the participating artist studios. The lineup of businesses and artists are pending at this time.
If you are a local artist interested in participating in the first Greater Wheeling Artists Studio Tour, please apply at www.wheelingartbeat.com and for questions contact the Wheeling Arts and Culture Commission at arts@wheelingwv.gov, Cheryl Harshman – 304-280-3030 or Bob Villamagna 304-639-0957.
