We are always excited to announce that there’s a new brewery to enter the state of West Virginia. This brewery comes from the great state of New York and we’re happy to be delivering it to your local stores and pubs!
Blue Point Brewing Company opened in 1998 on Long Island, in Patchogue, New York. Founded by Mark Burford and Pete Cotter; both avid home-brewers at the time. They truly embody the New York state of mind by stating, “All we care about is brewing good beer. We first and foremost brew beer that we want to drink. If there’s some leftover, we’ll sell it.”
What started in 1998 as two beer nuts chatting over a few pints quickly grew into Long Island’s first and finest craft brewery. With a passion for the collision of the art and science of brewing, co-founders Mark and Pete set out to create a haven for self-discovery that would inspire themselves and a carefully chosen collection of kindred spirits to produce award-winning beer in many styles.
It began with the first beer they ever brewed: Toasted Lager, which would become wildly popular and ultimately the flagship of Blue Point Brewing Company. This American Amber Lager leads the malt-focused lineup that showcases the passion for beer in every recipe, barrel and pint.
Toasted Lager was originally named for the “toasted” characteristic of their original direct-fire brick kettle. This award-winning beer is brewed with a blend of six specialty malts for a flavor as rich and unique as the town it’s from. Toasted Lager’s balanced flavor of malt and hops makes for easy drinking and their special proprietary lager yeast produces an exceptional, long-lasting smooth finish. In 2006, Toasted Lager won a gold medal at the 2006 World Beer Cup in the American-Style Amber Lager category.

Blue Point’s Blueberry Ale is a crisp golden ale with just a hint of blueberry flavor. Not your typical fruit-forward beer, Blueberry Ale unleashes a lively berry aroma that gives way to a well-balanced session ale that is refreshing year-round.
“…On those rare occasions though, you will find the Holy Grail of fruit beers, a balanced blend of enjoyable yet discerning flavors. Fortunately for both Blue Point and its fans, the Blueberry Ale always falls under this latter category.” – Paste Magazine
