Day 6 brought practice, Day 7, April 3 2019, was Game Day. It seems all of our efforts in fundraising, planning and practicing have led to this moment. This was the day our boys from Wheeling and the Ohio Valley took on a club team from Argentina, and in this case our opponent is our host club, Club Atletico Talleres.
FC Wheeling took the lead on a sweet left-foot, upper right corner shot by Owen Tipton. However, our boys took one on the chin 1-6 when it was all said and done. The boys from Cordoba were stellar and their passing was exceptional.

The loss hurt, but the day was not lost. The boys from Argentina joined the boys from the USA to share hamburgers and soda. They also shared Instagram accounts, arm-wrestled and learned about each other’s cultures.
