The approach of Veterans Day on November 11th is the ideal time to remember our veterans and the flag of our country. Many individuals and businesses have American flags that have become faded, worn or tattered through repeated use. Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory offer a way to retire this symbol of our freedom with dignity and honor. Flags that are dropped off at any local Altmeyer location will either be held and disposed of during the Moundsville Post 437 VFW’s annual Flag Day services or placed with a local veteran at the time of cremation.
Flags may be dropped off Monday through Friday from 9 am to 3 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling; Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling; Altmeyer Funeral Home Lutes and Kirby Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville; Bauknecht Altmeyer Funeral Home, 144-37th Street, Bellaire; or Beck-Altmeyer Funeral Home, 204 West Main Street, St. Clairsville.
