West Liberty University will graduate 140 students at Fall Commencement 2018, which will take place at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 15, in the Academic, Sports and Recreation Complex.
President Stephen Greiner will preside at the ceremony and confer degrees upon graduates. Todd Clossin, president and CEO of WesBanco, will be the commencement speaker.
Senior Meagan Ford, from Silver Spring, Md., will be the graduating student speaker. She is graduating from the Gary E. West College of Business with an accounting degree and plans on taking the CPA exam, then finding employment in Washington, D.C. Eventually, Ford wants to open her own business.
“I’m looking forward to graduation and am honored to be the student speaker. West Liberty University has prepared me mentally for a career in accounting, that’s for certain, but I also feel capable of getting a job in any business field thanks to my degree,” she added.
Her commencement speech will detail her thoughts on personal growth during college.
Other graduating seniors, with the highest grade point average in each respective college, carry their college banner and include:
- College of Arts and Communication, Jalyn Bolyard, Crooksville, Ohio
