Now Showing: Beyond the Bowl Series Premiere
Beloved Wheeling açai bowl pop-up stand LaBowls, in conjunction with Wheeling Heritage Media, is excited to present the first episode of Beyond the Bowl! This six-part food competition series showcases half a dozen local Wheeling businesses as they step outside of their comfort zones and into each other’s kitchens for the ultimate culinary challenge.
The rules are simple: Each week, a featured restaurant will recreate one of LaBowls’ signature smoothie bowls, while, at the same time, the LaBowls team will recreate one of the restaurant’s menu favorites. No coaching, no hints, and no helping each other. Celebrity judges will score each dish based on presentation, accuracy, and the all-important question: Would they order it again?
This series works to celebrate the incredible people behind just some of Wheeling’s local businesses by highlighting their personalities and showing what makes each restaurant or café unique. We hope this series inspires you to discover new favorites, support local, and see just how much culinary talent our community has to offer!
