Grow Ohio Valley Encourages Community to Include Public Market in Thanksgiving Preparations
Grow Ohio Valley is inviting the community to make the Public Market a part of their Thanksgiving shopping this year. Since its opening in 2019, the Public Market has become a trusted destination for fresh, locally-sourced turkeys and side dishes, offering a farm-to-table Thanksgiving experience to residents throughout the Ohio Valley.
Fresh, Local Turkeys from Lewis Turkey Farm
This Thanksgiving, the Public Market is offering fresh turkeys from the Lewis Turkey Farm, a family-owned farm that has been raising high-quality turkeys since 1954. Located in Oak Hill, Ohio, the farm spans 1,000 acres of rolling hills where the Lewis family raises their flock of antibiotic-free, vegetarian-fed, free-range turkeys. The birds are never frozen and are humanely raised, ensuring the highest quality and care throughout the process.
The Lewis family processes their turkeys at their USDA-certified facility, giving customers full transparency from the birds’ early days as poults to the moment they are harvested fresh for Thanksgiving. The turkeys are priced at $5.59 per pound, and customers using SNAP benefits can enjoy a 50% discount.

Scratch-Made Thanksgiving Sides
In addition to fresh, local turkeys, the Public Market’s kitchen is preparing scratch-made sides using local ingredients. Available dishes include:

Mac and Cheese
Turkey Gravy
All sides are available in pints, quarts, and family-sized portions. Orders are being accepted now through Tuesday, November 21st.
