Shop and Sip at Stifel Be among the first to shop the 2020 Holiday Art Show and Sale during the Oglebay Institute’s Shop & Sip event on Thursday, Nov. 12 beginning at 5 p.m. Enjoy a complimentary beverage of your choice (wine, beer or soda) at the Stifel Center. Pre-registration is required. Time slots are available every half-hour from 5 – 7:30 p.m. Sessions are limited to 25 guests, so you can shop in a relaxed, socially-distanced atmosphere. Oglebay Institute Holiday Art Show and Sale If you can’t make the Oglebay Institute’s Shop and Sip kick-off event, the Holiday Art Show and Sale will continue through the end of November. This annual shopping experience showcases the talent of dozens of regional artists and crafters offering one-of-a-kind gifts for the holidays. Shop hundreds of unique items including pottery, paintings, photography, jewelry, textiles, home décor and gourmet goodies. Holidays at the Mansion Decorating Exhibit Oglebay Institute’s Mansion Museum’s holiday decorating exhibit, Holidays at the Mansion, is on display through January 3. Subscribe to Weelunk First started in 1973, this holiday tradition continues today as dozens of talented volunteer decorators lavishly transform the Museum for the holidays. Stroll through 13 period rooms exploring décor ranging from simple elegance to extravagant and inspiration to take back to your own home. Holiday Ornaments and Story Time at the Schrader Center Visit the Schrader Center in Oglebay to create some all-natural holiday ornaments. The event will begin with a reading of Eve Bunting’s Night Tree – a beautifully illustrated story of a family’s unusual tradition that brings to life the true spirit of the season. After the reading, create some all-natural holiday decorations to take home or put on the Schrader Center’s own night tree.
