Symphony on Ice Returns to WesBanco Arena This December

Wheeling Symphony Orchestra (WSO) announces the return of Main Street Bank presents Symphony on Ice, conducted by Music Director John Devlin.  The performance will be held Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, WV. 

The Ohio Valley’s favorite holiday show returns this December! Join the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra along with champion professional skater Gracie Gold, senior ice dance team Cara Murphy and Joshua Levitt, the Pittsburgh and Wheeling Figure Skating Clubs, and local middle and high school choirs, as we welcome in the sounds of the season! It’s the holiday tradition the entire family will enjoy!

The program will feature professional skater, Gracie Gold.  Ms. Gold is two-time U.S. National Champion (2014, 2016) a 2014 Olympic team event gold medalist and a two-time World Team Trophy champion (2013, 2015).  In addition to Ms. Gold, the senior ice dance team of Cara Murphy and Joshua Levitt  will also appear; Ms. Murphy and Mr. Levitt most recently competed together in the 2021 U.S. Figure Skating Championships.  Members of the Pittsburgh and Wheeling Skate Clubs will also take the ice to delight the audience with performances from skaters of all ages.

Bryan Braunlich, the WSO’ s Executive Director, is pleased to welcome back Main Street Bank as the event’s presenting sponsor.  “Symphony on Ice simply wouldn’t be possible without the support of Main Street Bank who helped us bring the event back to Wheeling in 2014. After last year’s hiatus, we hope to be back in full force this year with everything that makes this such a special night.”

In addition to seating in the arena, rink-side table seating will be available for a pre-show dinner catered by Oglebay.  These seats provide diners with incredible views of the skaters and orchestra.  Contact the Wheeling Symphony box office for information regarding pricing and availability.

Tickets to Symphony On Ice start at $12.50 and will be available for purchase on Sept. 15, 2021 online at wheelingsymphony.com, by phone at 304-232-6191, via email at boxoffice@wheelingsymphony.com, or in person at the Box Office, located at 1025 Main Street, Suite 811, Wheeling, WV 26003.

Patrons 18 or younger can get tickets for $11.50 by contacting the box office.  Additional discounts are available for groups of 10 or more.  More information is available at wheelingsymphony.com.
