Wesbanco Arena hosts a double header this weekend featuring the Nailers vs. a team from a city that’s ten times Wheeling’s size.
The Heritage Dance Association, accompanied by live music from The Cabin Fever String Band, will lead three dances from three time periods from Lydia Boggs Shepherd’s lifetime: Revolutionary War Era, Regency Era, and the Civil War Era. During these dances, children and adults can dress in era-specific clothing and learn the dances from the time. They will then get to practice their new skills to live music, and snack on food common to Lydia’s era.

Chill with Johnson, a 1981 West Liberty University Grad, is a renowned R&B performer and has backed stars like Ray Charles, Little Anthony, Aretha Franklin, The Temptations, Chubby Checker, Chuck Berry, Isaac Hayes, Lou Rawls, The Spinners, Dionne Warwick, Martha Reeves, Cheryl Lynn — and is currently touring with Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr.
