Evening Concludes with Free Screening of the Barbie Movie
The City of Wheeling’s Parks and Recreation Department is painting the Port pink…Barbie Pink that is! Join us this Saturday for a Pink Party complete with yoga, photo stations, shopping, food and more. Festivities kick off at 6 p.m. at Heritage Port. The evening will conclude with a screening of the Barbie movie. It’s the perfect girl’s night out!
Things will get started with Girl Power Yoga, an upbeat energizing flow, with Betsy Sweeny from 6-7 p.m. From 7:15-8 p.m., attendees can put on their pink shoes for Let’s Go Dance with Rysing Star Dance Academy who will teach participants a simplified version of a dance from the Barbie movie, which will be shown at dusk. Throughout the evening, attendees will have the opportunity for photos in the Barbie box and at Smily Ann’s Photo Van.
“The parks and recreation department is always looking to host unique events and activities. Considering the Barbie craze, we thought it would be fun to jump on the pink bandwagon for an evening,” said Director Rochelle Barry.
