Williams Lea Provides Career Options for High School Graduates

Staff from global business support services firm Williams Lea recently spent time speaking with seniors at Wheeling Park High School and John Marshall High School about the career opportunities available at the company after graduation.

Williams Lea announced in March a plan to add an additional 100 jobs to its Wheeling services delivery center by the end of 2019. The company currently employs over 560 people at the location.

By speaking in the schools, the Williams Lea teams hope to encourage students to explore career options close to home.

“We offer so many career options, and we really wanted to get into the schools and let upcoming graduates know what we have for them right here at home,” said managing director Michael Santamaria. “For graduates ready to enter the workforce right now, we have many entry-level positions with opportunity for rapid advancement. For those heading to college, we have more senior and specialized roles available when they return.

“We’ve always found it important to be really involved in the community,” Santamaria said. “Our hope is that by talking about what Williams Lea has to offer we can keep this amazing talent here in Wheeling.”

Ohio County Schools superintendent Dr. Kimberly Miller added, “Patriot students leave Wheeling Park High School prepared for college and careers. Part of that preparedness is due to partners like Williams Lea. Their representatives meet with our students to give them an idea of the options available to them at Williams Lea, but they also make them aware of the trends and opportunities available to them throughout the business world.”
