YWCA Takes Boutique to the Streets on May 22

WHEELING, W.Va. – May 13, 2021 – YWCA Wheeling’s Y Not Repeat Boutique is holding a sidewalk sale on May 22, 2021, in front of the YWCA building at 1100 Chapline Street.

The sidewalk sale features great prices on women’s name-brand clothing and assorted homewares from YWCA Wheeling’s second-hand boutique, Y Not Repeat Boutique, from 9 AM to 11 AM. Wheeling’s Gypsylace Café is also joining the sidewalk sale with sweet treats, cold brew, and more available to purchase throughout the event.

“Whether you are swinging by after brunch downtown with some friends, or if you’re coming just for yourself – the Sidewalk Sale is a way for you to enjoy the outdoors on a beautiful spring day and support our boutique, which has been closed for most of COVID.,” said Jenna Richardson, YWCA Director of Marketing and Development.

Funded entirely through donations and run by volunteers, the Y-Not Repeat Boutique began to help women prepare for job interviews by providing appropriate attire at no cost. Today, it has grown into a staple to thrifting enthusiasts in the area while still providing clothing for women getting back onto their feet or entering the workforce.

All proceeds from the sidewalk sale will benefit the Y Not Repeat Boutique and the many women served through its services every year. City and state-mandated COVID-19 protocols will be followed.
