Shawna L. Safreed is a dedicated educator with over 15 years of experience in the field. A proud native of Wheeling, West Virginia, she is passionate about community-building, educational equity, and fostering innovation in teaching and learning. Shawna is currently pursuing her Ed.D. in Instructional Leadership, Management, and Innovation at West Liberty University, where she also earned her M.A. in Educational Technology and B.A. in English Education. Outside the classroom, she’s an avid runner and enjoys spending time with her family. She’s married to her high school sweetheart, and together they are raising their teenage son.
