For Ashley Ferns, infertility was never just a medical journey. It was an emotional, physical and deeply personal experience that reshaped her understanding of resilience, hope and the importance of community.
After navigating six years of infertility, heartbreak, uncertainty and loss, Ashley understands firsthand how isolating the journey can feel. Through it all, she and her husband, Ryan, continued moving forward with determination and faith. Their journey ultimately led to the birth of their son, Conor, a chapter of hope that forever changed their lives and strengthened Ashley’s desire to help others feel less alone.

What began as honest storytelling online through her platform, @resilientmamawolf, slowly grew into something much bigger. Women from all walks of life began reaching out, sharing their own stories, fears and hopes. Through those conversations, Ashley recognized how many women were searching for understanding and support from others who truly understood the emotional weight of infertility and family-building struggles.
That realization led to the creation of The Resilient Circle, a support community designed to bring women together in a meaningful and compassionate way. Ashley’s vision was simple yet powerful: to create a space rooted in authenticity, encouragement, education and hope. What started as online conversations has evolved into virtual gatherings that foster deeper discussions and genuine relationships, reminding women that they are not alone and that hope can still exist even in the hardest seasons.

Creating a Space to Be Seen
For Ashley, The Resilient Circle is about far more than infertility. It is about creating a space where women feel respected, emotionally supported and empowered to navigate one of the most difficult seasons of their lives without losing themselves in the process.
Rooted in values of resilience, authenticity, nurture and hope, the community encourages honest conversation, emotional healing, self-advocacy and meaningful support while reminding women that their worth is never defined by a diagnosis or a timeline.
Those closest to Ashley say that ability to create a sense of belonging comes naturally.
“Ashley is one of those rare people who turns her own struggles into a source of strength for others,” said Noelle Adams-Lohri. “When I later found myself facing infertility, Ashley was the friend who simply got it. She knew when to check in, when to listen and when to sit with the hard moments without trying to fix them. Ashley has a way of making people feel less alone, which is why the women of Resilient Circle are so lucky to have her in their corner. Her empathy, compassion and genuine care create a space where women feel seen, supported and understood.”

Ali Bolock has also witnessed the impact Ashley has had on women navigating fertility challenges.
“Ashley has given a voice to so many women navigating what can often feel like a silent battle,” Bolock said. “The support of family, friends and medical professionals is invaluable, but there is something uniquely comforting about connecting with someone who truly understands because they are living it too. One of the things I admire most about Ashley is that, while she embodies incredible strength, she also reminds us of the importance of holding onto our softness throughout the fertility journey. Strength and vulnerability can coexist, and no one should have to walk this path alone.”
Advocacy Beyond the Circle
Ashley’s passion for advocacy and wellness is also closely tied to her work alongside Ryan at The Healthplex, a functional medicine practice focused on supporting individuals and families through a more holistic and compassionate lens. Through both The Healthplex and The Resilient Circle, Ashley hopes to continue empowering women to advocate for themselves, care for both their physical and emotional health and feel supported no matter where they are on their path to parenthood.

Rachel Goodman believes Ashley’s unique ability to transform hardship into community is what makes her work so meaningful.
“Ashley offers compassion and sincerity in the midst of confusion and disillusionment,” Goodman said. “Ashley’s warmth and generous nature is soothing and genuine. It is a rare person who can forge community and meaningful relationships in the midst and aftermath of challenges and loss. The community that Ashley is cultivating benefits from her wisdom, insight and candor. I have no doubt this collective will discover newfound fortitude and fellowship under Ashley’s leadership.”
A Message of Hope
At the heart of everything Ashley does is a message she hopes every woman hears clearly: there is still hope, there is still light ahead and you do not have to walk this journey alone.
Through The Resilient Circle, Ashley is transforming one of the most challenging experiences of her life into a source of encouragement for others. By sharing her story and creating space for women to share theirs, she is helping build a community where resilience is nurtured, hope is restored and no one has to carry the journey by themselves.
