A night of live music at Waterfront Hall this weekend will do more than entertain—it will directly support neighbors in need across the Ohio Valley.
Ohio Valley Mutual Aid (OVMA) will host its first-ever benefit show on Saturday, December 27, 2025, on the third floor of Waterfront Hall, with doors opening at 6 p.m. and music beginning at 7 p.m. Proceeds from the event will support OVMA’s ongoing efforts to provide direct assistance and rapid-response community care throughout the region.
The benefit show will feature performances by local bands Exit Angles, Stone Church Video, and Stone Campus, showcasing regional talent while raising funds for mutual aid work that helps community members cover urgent needs such as utility bills, emergency healthcare, transportation, and basic necessities.

In addition to live music, attendees can take part in a raffle filled with locally donated prizes, with all proceeds benefiting OVMA’s work. Raffle items include gift cards from Midge’s Kitchen, Table 304, Stradwick’s Fade Cave, VC Wares, and Jacob’s Meats, as well as creative services and handmade goods from Essington Creative, Riley Lynn Photography, Apartment Two Art, Almost Heaven Candle Company, Logan Schmitt Illustration, East Wheeling Clayworks, Mossy Lil Goblin, Frugal Hanger Thrift (Ohio), Battle Boar Forge, and Mindi Yarborough.
Founded in late 2024, Ohio Valley Mutual Aid works across Ohio and Marshall counties in West Virginia and Belmont County, Ohio, strengthening existing networks and meeting community needs through collective action. In its first year, OVMA organized multiple free events and raised funds and resources to assist families and individuals facing hardship.
That infrastructure proved especially critical in the summer of 2025, when devastating flash floods hit the Ohio Valley. OVMA mobilized hundreds of volunteers to assist with home cleanouts and distributed more than $30,000 in no-strings-attached direct cash assistance to flood survivors.
OVMA’s core organizing team—made up of 20 to 40 volunteers, many of whom are low-income, disabled, or marginalized—reflects the community it serves. The benefit show offers a tangible way for attendees to support this work, ensuring that OVMA can continue responding quickly when neighbors need help most.
Community members are encouraged to attend, enjoy the music, and contribute to a collective effort that turns a night out into meaningful community impact.
