Fulton Fulton is the neighborhood that is located right along Route 40 (National Road) on the Peninsula created by Wheeling Creek. It is a mix of residences and other businesses such as autobody shops, numerous restaurants, and shops. The western side of Fulton also has a large industrial section. There are not many recreation or entertainment options in Fulton proper, but it is within a short driving distance to amenities in Downtown or other neighborhoods. For commuting and transportation ease to other parts of Wheeling, Fulton also has very easy access to I-70. Fulton's location along the National Road made it a prime location for industry. In fact, some of Wheeling's earliest commercial buildings are located here.Generations, a restaurant in Fulton, has been open for more than 100 years. It's been owned by the same family that entire time, hence the name! It was originally called the Swing Club when it opened in 1916. Continue the Conversation!
